In 2015, Tim was chosen by Photographers Without Borders to document the work of a local charity in Bolivia. He spent three weeks photographing the community and Proyecto Horizonte, a non-profit organization working to improve the lives of the people of Ushpa-Ushpa, Cochabamba, Bolivia.
It began its work in 2004 as a privately funded organization, and now receives some support from local government but the majority of their costs are covered through private donations. Since its establishment, Proyecto Horizonte has grown to include a nursery and school, a health center, micro-finance and micro-enterprise initiatives, a women's support group, an artisan's group, and more. It continues to seek out new ways of investing in the community to create a sustainable, positive impact.
